The cohort is a supportive, positive, and collaborative group. We will share out our pedagogy, helpful tools, struggles and successes, and progress. I will share some of my best practices and invite a few guest speakers. We will discuss portfolios and assessing outcomes.

Allison Evans, Ph.D.
About the Lead: Allison has been a full-time faculty member in the Psychology Department at CSU, Bakersfield since 1999. She was introduced to online teaching and QM during the Summer 2012. Her social psychology course is certified as meeting Quality Matters Review Standards and the course also received the Quality Online Learning and Teaching Award (QOLT) from the Chancellor’s Office during 2013-2014. Allison is also a certified QM Master Reviewer and Facilitator in the Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) and Improving Your Online Course (IYOC). She frequently co-facilitates the F2F and online APPQMR and IYOC workshops. At CSU, Bakersfield, she assists faculty in course development and assessment within the School of Social Sciences and Education and helps facilitate the Summer Institute and Advanced Summer Institute through the Teaching and Learning Center.
Redesign Strategy: Fully online social psychology course. Developed mini-videos, utilized active learning and included Universal Design for Learning components (UDL).
Redesign Outcomes: An organized, consistent, clear, and simple design is essential in a fully online course. Delivery is equally important. Responsiveness within the course is vital toward the success of the students.
